1. Introduction

Welcome to Camp Anerley. These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings, visits, and use of our facilities. By entering the property or making a booking, guests agree to follow these rules and conditions.

2. Bookings and Payments

All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation from Camp Anerley.

A deposit is required to secure your booking. The balance is payable before arrival unless otherwise arranged in writing.

Deposits are non-refundable unless stated otherwise.

Payments can be made via EFT, and proof of payment must be sent to the office.

Group leaders are responsible for ensuring accurate headcounts, final numbers, and special requirements before arrival.

3. General Rules

To keep Camp Anerley safe and enjoyable for everyone, the following are not permitted on site:

  • Alcohol
  • Firearms or weapons
  • Fireworks
  • Smoking indoors
  • Littering or graffiti
  • Unreasonably loud music
  • Lighting fires outside designated areas
  • Ironing in rooms, halls, bedrooms, or bungalows

Each breach of the above rules carries a R250 fine per offence.

4. Safety and Environment

The Commando Course, Low Ropes Course, Zip Line, Bush Walks, and Mangrove Forest are out of bounds unless accompanied by a responsible adult or authorised facilitator.

Vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas only. No driving or parking is allowed on camp fields.

The Mangrove Forest is a highly protected and sensitive area. Please take special care not to harm any plants, animals, or natural features.

Do not feed, tease, or disturb wildlife. Some animals can be dangerous.

Do not damage, cut, or remove plants or trees. If wood or other natural materials are required for activities or bonfires, please request assistance from management.

Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. No shouting, loud music, drums, or unnecessary noise during this time.

Only cooks and kitchen assistants are allowed in the kitchen area. Ensure all gas valves are closed after every use to prevent leaks.

Use bins provided in bathrooms and toilets for items other than toilet paper to avoid blockages.

Please report any breakages or damages immediately to management.

Always follow warning signs and instructions from staff — they are there for your safety.

5. Liability and Safety

Participation in camp activities is voluntary and at your own risk.

Camp Anerley, its staff, and affiliates are not liable for loss, damage, injury, or death unless caused by proven negligence.

Guests are advised to secure their personal belongings.

Children and youth must be supervised by adults or group leaders at all times.

6. Fines and Damage

A R250 fine will be charged for each breach of prohibited behaviour listed above.

Any property damage, intentional or accidental, will be charged to the group or individual responsible.

7. Privacy and Information

Personal details collected during booking are used only for communication, safety, and operational purposes and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy
.

8. Photography and Media

Photographs and videos may be taken during events for camp marketing purposes.
If you do not wish to appear in these, please notify management in writing before your arrival.

9. Amendments

Camp Anerley reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on our website or communicated directly with group leaders.
